Basic Strategies of Seattle Program: Local Flexibility Demonstration Program
Plan
Contains five basic strategies considered to have a high promise of success
in meeting the academic needs of students:
- Improve teacher knowledge, rigor and skill in application of research-based
practices and strategies for Mathematics, literacy content and pedagogy.
- Improve teacher knowledge and skills in standards-based, culturally responsive
teaching and learning, differentiation of instruction and the use of data
to informed instruction.
- Improve beginning teacher quality and preparation for service to underserved
students of diverse backgrounds.
- Enhance the integration of technology in classroom for teacher productivity
and for the teaching and learning program.
- Provide intervention and support services for academic achievement, reentry
and substance abuse issues for targeted students.
