Description of Event

With regard to the No Child Left Behind Act, there is often talk about how prescriptive it can be. This interactive presentation with Jay Iman, Grant Manager and Jane Goetz, Director of Curriculum and Professional Development, both from the Seattle Public Schools, provided practical information on the Local-Flex provision available to districts interested in maximum funding flexibility through consolidation of certain local-level federal funds they already receive, to fulfill any educational purposes under the Elementary and Secondary Schools Act, reauthorized in 2001 as the No Child Left Behind Act.

The flexibility goes beyond that provided with Ed-Flex and Transferability.
